The Credits

There were nine of us in the group in altogether and I had to do a credit for every member. So while the other members of the group were modelling and texturing and doing what they had to do, I was concentrating on working on the credits. I had an opportunity to go wild with this theme and really display what the hippies of the 1960’s were all about. I wanted to compliment each member of the group for their work and input if possible, and keep a bright and wacky theme relative to clouds and hippies throughout including the music of the same title from the Rolling Stones.

Earon Gervaise. One of the Concept Artist’s uses the name Airem Superstar. So with the star in his name, I decided to float him on a cloud and surround him with stars.

Ozi Osagiede. also one of the Concept artist’s painted a beautiful picture of mushrooms. So in his credit I wanted to compliment him for that.

Seni Soetan. I floated on a cloud in front of a spiral of vibrant spinning colour.

Ben Murphy. I rolled Ben in on a huge Ban the Bomb sign in front of lots of Volkswagen Kombi camper vans for his model of the volkswagen.

Asim Jerome Cox. I floated him lounging on a cloud with a vibrant orange sky.

Michael Clarke. I put him in an office looking out of the window at the hippies island in the clouds as if he was the character he created.

Gordon Cox.  As Gordon had created trees for the animation I drew Gordon lounging against a tree with a notice above saying “Trees by Gordon Cox” with leaves dropping. Although Juwad decided after that he decided to leave Gordon out of the final credits due to his lack of input.

Me. Peter Rest. I love fishing so I pulled out a few clouds from the main cloud to show another way of catching the clouds.

Juwad Malik. Well, at first I put Juwad on a magic flying carpet to complement Juwad for his magic in motivating all of the team and his effort in modelling and texturing ect. But Juwad objected to me putting him on a flying carpet and said it had a racist flavour and wanted it changing. I personally didn’t agree with him, but to satisfy his objection I change the carpet for a cloud.

These are the pictures I created using Adobe Photoshop. I initially intended to draw caricatures of all of the members of the group but I got carried away painting portraits of each person, and as I have not used Photoshop for drawing much before only for photo-retouching I was very pleased with the result and ended up animating them using Adobe After Effects.

The Office

Michael Clarke constructed the office scene while Jerome experimented with the lighting to get the right effect.

Characters

These are the completed characters modelled by Michael Clarke. He has made the same shape character but with a different attire. The Square he has put in a suit and shirt & tie and more way-out clotes for the hippy with smiley faces on his shirt.

Volkswagen Camper vans

These camper vans were modelled by Ben Murphy as an addition to where the hippies live as they did in the 1960’s. Then you can see the model multiplied and placed onto the island. The pictures show the construction of Ben’s model and finally his finished model.

The Hippies Island in the Clouds

Michael Clarke began to construct some island ideas using Maya whilst Seni modelled some shelters for the hippies. Then Michael developed the island further and added colour and texture and the hippies island is beginning to come together.

Jeromes Atmosphere Experiments

Now the Square’s City was beginning to take form Asim Jerome Cox experimented with lighting and hue to add atmosphere.

Michael Clarke’s Textures and camera Views

Michael Clarke experimented with various textures for  the Squares city adding roads and pavements as well as street lamps then experimented with different camera angles whilst Gordon Cox modelled the trees.
